It's a red wrapMay is over.. but still taking donations.
50km in May.
I'm wearing red for MS in May
I have MS.
After symptoms of pins and needles, and numbness in my legs, I lost total sight in one eye, which then led to all the tests, and with treatment, I got all sight back. Fatigue and weakness in my legs are my most common symptoms along with tingly fingers. I was officially diagnosed in 2007.
I am fundraising for The MS Society of SA & NT, as they have provided programs to help me with my physical and mental wellbeing. I have been attending hydrotherapy classes since 2016. Then Covid19 meant the introduction of Zoom classes where I have also attended Exercise and yoga classes online.
I am wearing a different red item each day in May to raise money, while walking 50k. As a child I participated in a lot of basketball and netball, and an allrounder at any sport at school..
I enjoyed sport and still tried to continue until, I just couldn’t run anymore... my legs just won’t let me. So I just try to keep active.
For my 50k Walk I push myself further than I should sometimes, and collapse into a chair at the end. (Its a good feeling of accomplishment though when I can see what I have achieved.)
I'm raising money to support people living with multiple sclerosis! I’m inspired by the work the MS Society SA & NT do for people living with MS, and I want to help them make a difference! Please sponsor me today by giving whatever you can. Every little bit will help me reach my fundraising goal!
The more people that know about the MS Society, the greater the impact. So please spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you for your generous support, it means a lot!
